Notes
There are any number of problems with the genealogies available online for these families. For example, I have found alternative parentages for both Andrew Alger and Joseph Covell. There are also problems with the family of Richard Newton and Anne Loker, and it may turn out either that Sarah was not their daughter or that Henry Loker was not Anne's father.Assuming that the Loker line holds up, there are other problems with
the French family of Bures St. Mary. I have seen Elizabeth French
given as the daughter of Robert French and Susan Riddlesdale, Robert French
and Sarah Riddlesdale, Robert French and Alice Wylton, or Jacob French
and Susan Warren. It looks as though Robert and Jacob were brothers,
and they may both have had daughters named Elizabeth, but it all seems
very obscure.
